Gloria Barksdale Enterprises, LLC Presents Project MOTHER, Inc. (a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Agency)

 

Gloria Barksdale Enterprises, LLC [45-2537774] would like to present a unique opportunity to provide an educational service for the economic self-sufficiency of women. Project MOTHER, Inc. (501©3), DLN: [26053687001104] is an acronym for Millennium Opportunities to Heal, Educate & Rehabilitate. Project MOTHER (Millennium Opportunities to Heal, Educate and Rehabilitate) originally created in 1996 is now an 18-year old entity created for education, entrepreneurship and employment for women. The model named LIFEWORKS(TM) pulls together a group of educators, entrepreneurs and experts who are experienced in these targeted areas to provide training, internships and externships to keep low-income women working. Each staff member operates as a licensed, credentialed or certified proprietor bringing to the table over 120 years of combined experience and qualifications.

 

This project’s initial planting will be centered to serve what is affectionately known as DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia). Staff has already been strategically assigned to work/operate in a corporate office in North Chesterfield/Richmond, Virginia, Waldorf/Fort Washington, Maryland and NW/SE Washington, DC. Demographics for all three locations prescribe a need to assist individuals in becoming more empowered for employment and entrepreneurship due to the increasing unemployment rate.

 

It is our goal to groom and grow each entity of the LIFEWORKS(TM) project into individual entrepreneurial self-contained worksites. LIFEWORKS(TM) is an acronym covering 9 areas that will produce opportunities for women to consider in becoming economically self-sufficient. The areas includes:  Literacy, Instructional Technology, Keyboarding, Family Life Education, Entertainment, Woman’s World, Out of the Ordinary, Recreational, Kitchen Works & Soul Work.
